"In the winter of 2017, the Moffat Library held a Writing Contest for children and teens in anticipation of the reopening of the historic of library building in Washingtonville. The intention of the contest was to encourage our community's youth to express what the library means to them, and to explore their own creative talents. To our delight, these young authors produced a variety of essays, poems, and original short stories. In recognition of the creative voices of these children and teens, this book has been published with all entries as they were originally presented by the writers.
